Paragraph 1 – Personal Thoughts and Feelings Opening paragraph – brief summary of what you’re going to talk about. Address the family member or friend directly, and make it personal. Examples: Dear Mom, Dear Jesse, Dear Grandpa, If you don’t know anyone who uses tobacco products, then you may make up a name. No silly names like Sponge Bob, Dora the Explorer, etc.

Paragraph 2 - Basic Facts About Tobacco How many people die each year because of smoking? Nicotine addiction What are some of the dangerous chemicals in tobacco products? How does secondhand smoke affect people?
