Use am or was with the subject I. I was the best player last year. I am 10 yrs. Old. He was at the movie theaters. I was at the mall yesterday. I am going to Itzel’s awesome party. I am the teacher.

Use is or was with singular nouns and he, she, or it. My best story is about when I was a baby. He was at school yesterday. Itzel is the best out of everyone. She is only 5 months old. I was angry at her. I was here yesterday.

Use are or were with plural nouns and we, you, or they. You’re my best friend. We are at the party. We were going to the dance. They were always right. We are going to Disneyland. You are sweet. They were kind to me.
