Saving Life 2015 A Vision for Change

Saving Life 2015: Change starts here Cancer Council NSW pre-election campaign: Impact the policy agenda of the NSW Government beyond Increase the likelihood of the next Parliament taking action on our recommendations relating to cancer. Build Power by strengthening our CanAct community.

A Vision for Change:

Tobacco Retail Reform Our vision for change is for a NSW Government that addresses the selling of tobacco to support people who are trying to quit, and encourage young people to live smoke free.

Increased Aboriginal Workforce in Cancer Services Our vision for change is for a NSW where Aboriginal people who go to a cancer service will be cared for by an Aboriginal person.

No Chemotherapy Co-payments Our vision for change is that cancer patients who have their chemotherapy in a public hospital get it for free.

Coordinated Cancer Care Our vision for change is that people with cancer, and their families, get the cancer care they need in a logical, connected and timely manner no matter where they live in NSW.

More Palliative Care Services Our vision for change is that every person who is dying from cancer has the best quality of life and if needed, a specialist palliative care team, to care for them.
