Nestle Foods Company Nestle Foods Company is considered to be the world’s largest food company in terms of revenue. The company’s headquarters are situated in Vevey, Switzerland and it is a multinational beverage and foods company. This company is admired by many people because of its several aspects which have led to its success both in financial and social responsibility affairs. For instance, despite the company’s huge revenue earnings, it has also received several awards for its performance in other matters. For instance, in 2011 the company received a top environmental award as a result of its activities aimed at sustaining the environment. According to the company’s chief executive officer, the company is protecting the environment so that the future generations will enjoy life with the company’s foods. Apart from its environmental initiatives, the company also earns a lot of revenue from its sales. The high revenues are brought about by its many brands which enables it to capture a huge market share (Garlough, 2011). For instance, it has over 8,000 brands which it has differentiated through innovation in order to meet the needs of different customers. These brands have in turn enabled it to have a market capitalization worth over $200 billion.

Since the company operates in many nations, it has to ensure that it has a good relationship with the governments of those nations. One of way of achieving this is though protecting the environment, something that it has achieved so far. This company is a source of revenue in many nations in which it conducts its activities. These nations earn revenue through the taxes that the company’s plants pay directly to their governments. Besides this, the nations also earn a lot of taxes from the employees employed by the company. The company’s good relationship with the government is also brought about by the way it conducts its activities. For instance, it does not violate any labor laws as it neither employs minor nor mistreats its employees. It ensures that its employees work in secure environment. This has reduced the rate of accidents in the company. Based on these initiatives, the company does not get into loggerheads with the law, hence creating a fantastic relationship with the government.
