Context for Energy Conservation Efforts DCTC Green Campus Commitment June 2007: DCTC signs on to the American College & University Presidents' Climate Commitment (ACUPCC) : DCTC implements ACUPCC requirements September 2009: DCTC submits Sustainability Plan to ACUPCC detailing the College's goal to achieve campus carbon neutrality by the year 2020

Commitment to Conserve Energy Using Solar Power Solar panels on new greenhouse to heat College's domestic water supply, eliminating the need for summertime boiler operation

Commitment to Conserve Energy Using Solar Power Architectural Tech, Electrical Construction, and Concrete & Masonry students worked on photovoltaics installation at Ames Soccer Complex
