Report Card Working Group of the MA-HDC A Plan for Producing the Report Card – Part I - Data Tables and Explanatory Text  Phase I Review existing reports by DPH and other health agencies to look for disparities indicators Train intern or staff to explore available data from MassCHIP ID gaps between available data and “mock-up”  Phase II Assess resources necessary to collect additional data ID’s in gap analysis  Phase III Specify technical specs Establish principles for indicator inclusion / exclusion  Phase IV Produce Word Document report

Report Card Working Group of the MA-HDC A Plan for Producing the Report Card – Part II – Supplementary Material  Phase I Draft sections of the report as outlined in the Mock- up that provide supplementary background material such as definition and calculation of disparities, discussion of “between and within” disparities, and socioeconomic influences.  Phase II Finalized text

Report Card Working Group of the MA-HDC A Plan for Producing the Report Card – Resources and Timeline  Data Tables No additional funding is requested at this time. One or more interns from local colleges will be recruited The work will be co-managed by Dr. Weissman, Georgia Simpson May, and Kristin Golden, DPH Director of Policy & Planning, as project director. An additional person or persons from DPH with epidemiological skills will work with the production team on the technical aspects of indicator specification, generation, and reporting. The work will be “fit in” among other DPH priorities. The data should be available in final format by June Finishing the report sooner will require re-assessing current DPH priorities  Supplementary Material No additional funding is requested at this time. Dr. Weissman will take the lead on producing these chapters. One or more interns from local colleges will be recruited to help The chapters should be available in draft format by December 2009 and final format by March 2010
