A long time ago there was a little ladybug named Billy Jr. He was lovable, kind, playful, and generous.

One day in the summer Billy’s dad was painting their house a nice bold black color.

When Billy’s dad was done painting the house he put his paint brush on the table and left to have lunch with his friends.

After Billy’s dad left, Billy Jr. walked by the table and he saw the paint brush. Billy picked it up and started acting like it was an airplane.

Billy’s mom came by and accidentally hit the paint brush out of his hand. The paint brush went flying in the air and splattered Billy’s back with black paint. Billy’s mom tried to get it off until she checked the can and saw it was permanent.

Billy and his mom went shopping to try to find soap to get rid of his black spots. When they were shopping everyone loved his black spots. Some ladybugs came and took pictures of every spot he had.

Everyone was asking where he got his spots. Billy Jr. asked his mom, “ Why is everyone asking about my spots?” “Well,” said his mom, “everyone is liking your style.” So Billy Jr. told the other ladybugs how to make their own spots. From that day on that is how the ladybugs get their spots.
