White Cane Program Student of the quarter Blood drive Memorial Day parade MD-19 Camp Horizon cleanup Taking up Helen Keller’s challenge to become “knights of the blind,” Lions in the Pacific Northwest assist children and adults in their communities with sight restoration and preservation. All contributions to White Cane Days benefit the sight programs of Northwest Lions Foundation. The Foundation gives the gift of sight through the following programs: Lions Patient Care Grants NLF provides grants to Lions Clubs to assist people in their own communities who need treatment for sight loss but cannot afford it. Lions Health Screening Unit (LHSU) This program provides free health screenings for vision, hearing, glaucoma, diabetes, and high blood pressure. About 30% of the people screened find they have health problems of which they were previously unaware. Last year, the LHSU screened more than 29,000 children and adults. Lions Project Support Grants Special grants are available to Lions Clubs and other community organizations to help support vision and hearing-related programs in their local areas

Coupeville Lions have been together since New members bring strength to the club with fresh ideas and you renew our energy! The opportunities are vast as they are wide in ways to give time and energy. What you reap in return is ten- fold. We have found that doing one project has somehow made way to sign-up for another project! We do believe that Coupeville Lions meets and perhaps sets a "Gold Standard“ with their Mission Statement: To empower volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace and promote international understanding through Lions clubs.
