Las Líneas de Nasca en Perú “The Nazca Lines”

The Nazca Lines are located on over 52 miles of Peruvian desert. Are a great mystery because of their quantity and size…many theories as to their purpose exist. Many individual figures including simple lines, geometric shapes, hummingbirds, spiders, monkeys, fish, dog, sharks or whales, llamas, lizards, and an astronaut stand out. Discovered accidentally from an airplane in flight in By the end of the 1980's new lines were discovered. Some observation towers can be found along roadways, which allow a limited vision of the lines. There are walking tours too….BUT The only real way to appreciate them in all their magnitude, given their gigantic size, is flying over the area. There are flights everyday, several times a day from Nasca or Lima.
