History of PA3i –Baguio Benguet Chapter June 26, The Philippine Australian Alumni Association, Incorporated (PA3I) Baguio Chapter was activated and organized after three (3) of the members (Dir. Aurora Quiray of POPCOM-CAR, Silvestre Aben of Benguet State University and Francis G. Basali of DENR-CAR) attended the National General Assembly. August 6, The Baguio Chapter conducted an organizational meeting at Benguet State University. A consensus from the members elected the officers of the PA3I - Baguio -Benguet Chapter

September 24, The PA3I- Baguio Benguet Chapter joined the celebration of the 25 th International Coastal Clean Up by conducting river clean up at Balili River at La Trinidad, Benguet. PA3I-Baguio Banquet Chapter was joined by the students of Benguet State University and the barangay officials and residents of Balili, La Triinidad,Benguet in the river clean up. PA3I – Baguio Benguet Chapter Joins the River Clean-Up.

August 27, PA3I Baguio Benguet chapter hosted the National Strategic Planning workshop, election of national officers and coinciding with the General assembly of Baguio Benguet Chapter at Benguet State University

NEXT ACTIVITY: Local Climate Change Advocacy The project aims to increase awareness on Climate Change among Barangay and other local networks. Specifically, it aims to address emerging and critical issues of climate change in coordination with stakeholders; develop a local knowledge center that can help set in motion actions to mitigate impacts in vulnerable areas like Baguio City, while at the same time enhancing the expertise of members. Project outputs: better awareness of local officials on climate change; localized training module; PHE plan for the participants. Project approach: One-on-one coordination with local government officials and agencies concerned; utilization of alumni and their links as resource persons; development of localized module to be utilized during the activity; conduct of foum-cum-planning session with local officials and stakeholders; and follow-up of plan implementation.
