A Call to Arms Create an IT department that can be clearly defined by the faculty, administration, students and staff as successful by using agreed upon performance measurements.

A Cents of Balance Use the strategic plan to align staffing, projects and funding with campus academic mission Create a robust and relevant portfolio of client focused IT services Build performance assessment metrics that value staff skills and project accountability.

Going through hell? Keep Going! Weight the value of your portfolio by how well it aligns with the Strategic Plan. Drive all funding out of silos into the central IT organization and also CFO’s office and then dole out $$$ to people and projects by the value they bring to client. Stop doing things that don’t align with the strategic plan or the academic mission. Build the relationship with the client/know their business! Continue to develop the relationship…
