 PLAY HARD  PLAY SMART  PLAY TOGETHER  How well we buy into these three simple philosophies will dictate how well we will do as a team every day. Living by these three philosophies will prepare your son for life.  No matter what age, the game better be…..FUN!  LET’S COMMIT TO DOING A GREAT JOB OF FUNDRAISING TO HELP OFFSET THE COST OF PUTTING TOGETHER A FIRST-CLASS OPERATION …..DISCUSS: THE PLAYER DEVELOPMENT MODEL DOES COST A LITTLE MORE THAN JUST DOING PRACTICES AND GAMES; WE WILL PREPARE, DEVELOP, TRAIN, AND TRY PREVENT INJURIES THROUGH SPECIALIZED INSTRUCTION/TRAINING.  I GARENTEE THAT I CAN DEVELOP PLAYERS FURTHER THAN HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAMS ARE ABLE TO DEVELOP DURING THEIR 4 MONTH SEASON.

 OCTOBER – DECEMBER  MN HOCKEY CAMPS TRAINING /TEAM BUILDING  70% OF PRACTICE TIME WILL BE SPENT ON DEVELOPING/FOSTERING INDIVIDUAL SKILLS  15% OF PRACTICE WILL BE SPENT ON LEARNING, READING, AND REACTING TO GAME SITUATIONS  15% OF PRACTICE WILL BE SPENT ON SMALL AREA GAMES  5 SPECIALIZED DRYLAND (INJURY PREVENTION/STRENGTH) SESSIONS AT THE STAR GYM W/ MARK GRAHAM  5 SPECIALIZED YOGA SESSIONS W/ ALYSSA THEIS  CONDITIONING INCORPORATED INTO EVERY PRACTICE  PLAYERS WILL BE EXPOSED TO MULTIPLE POSITIONS AND MULTIPLE LINE COMBINATIONS  TEAM BROTHERS ASSIGNED

 JANUARY – BEGINNING FEBRUARY  50% OF PRACTICE TIME WILL BE SPENT ON GAME SITUATIONS – 50% WILL BE A COMBINATION OF INDIVIDUAL SKILLS/SMALL AREA GAMES  MORE SPECIALIZED DRYLAND, YOGA (5 MORE SESSIONS), AT HOME TRAINING (INJURY PREVENTION) -SHOULDER/NECK & STRENGTH), AND VIDEO SESSIONS  CONDITIONING INCORPORATED INTO EVERY PRACTICE  PLAYERS WILL HAVE A MORE DEFINED ROLE AND POSITIONS WILL BE MORE CONSISTANT FROM GAME TO GAME

 FINAL PREPARATIONS AND TAPER BEFORE PEAK PERFORMANCE REACHED BY ALL PLAYERS  REGION/STATE TOURNAMENTS WILL BE POSSIBLE AND SUCCESSFUL IF WE….  PLAY HARD  PLAY SMART  PLAY TOGETHER

 Dec 4-6 Duluth  Hotel: The Suites Hotel  Address: 325 Lake Ave S, Duluth, MN  Rate: $111.60, $129.60, or $156.60/night depending on room type (includes breakfast)  Call or and ask for St. Cloud Bantam AA group block  Reservation deadline: Nov. 3, 2015  Dec 30-Jan 3 Edina  no hotel reservation at this time  Jan Grand Rapids  Hotel: Timberlake Lodge  Address: 144 SE 17th Street, Grand Rapids, MN  Rate: $134-$139/night depending on room type (includes breakfast & wristbands for waterpark)  Call or and ask for St. Cloud Bantam AA group block  Reservation deadline: Dec. 20, 2015  Feb 5-7 St. Cloud  registration fee TBD  no hotel

 WE WILL MAKE MEMORIES AND FRIENDSHIPS THAT LAST A LIFETIME…  YOUR SON WILL DEVELOPA STRONG WORK ETHIC THAT WILL LAST A LIFETIME…  YOUR SON WILL BE CONSIDERED A RESPECTFUL MEMBER OF OUR WORLD BY ALL THAT CROSS THEIR PATH….  YOUR SON WILL UNDERSTAND AND PARTCIPATE IN HEALTHY EATING AND HEALTHY DECISION MAKING…  YOUR SON WILL UNDERSTAND PASSION THAT WILL CARRY THEM FORWARD IN HOCKEY AND IN LIFE…

 PASS OUT RULES AND HAVE PARENTS/PLAYERS REVIEW TOGETHER…  LOCKER ROOM PHILOSOPHY – I FIND THE LOCKER ROOM A SACRED PLACE FOR THE TEAM – IF A COACH IS NOT IN THE LOCKER ROOM, DROP EQUIPMENT OUTSIDE THE LOCKER ROOM AND GO WATCH HOCKEY; I ARRIVE 45 MINUTES PRIOR TO PRACTICES AND 70 MINUTES PRIOR TO GAMES  ANY QUESTIONS…

 VOLUNTEER POSITIONS NEEDED – RHONDAWILL BE RECRUITING SEVERAL PEOPLE FOR TEAM OPERATIONS INCLUDING:  HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS KAYLA JOHNSON  FUND-RAISING COORDINATOR (50/50) =  MEAT RAFFLE COORDINATOR =  GAME DAY COORDINATOR (PENALTY BOX, CLOCK) =  SPECIAL EVENT CO-COORDINATORS =  APPAREL CO-COORDINATORS =  E2 COORDINATOR =  VIDEO GAMES (3-5 GAMES) =  TREASURERS REPORT

 APPARELL DISCUSSION…WHEN WE COME INTO THE ARENA, WE WANT OUR TEAM TO LOOK LIKE A TOP-NOTCH TEAM; I WOULD LIKE TO LOOK CONSISTENT, RELAXED, AND READY FOR THE GAME  HOWEVER, THERE WILL BE OCCASSIONS WHERE WE WILL PRACTICE DRESSING UP IN SHIRT/TIE OR NHL TRAVEL STYLE (COLLARED SHIRT/SPORT COAT)  I WOULD LIKE TO BE OUT OF THE APPAREL BUSINESS, SO I AM TURNING THIS OVER TO THE TWO PEOPLE WHO STEP UP FOR THE APPAREL POSITIONS

 IT IS OUR COMMITMENT TO MAKE YOUR PLAYER PROUD AND SPECIAL THAT THEY PLAY ST. CLOUD BANTAM AA HOCKEY! THAT IS HOW I WANT EACH PLAYER TO FEEL EVERY TIME THEY SET FOOT IN BAA FUNCTION!  YOURS IN HOCKEY – COACHING STAFF
