Value The amount of light a color reflects determines its color value Yellow is the lightest hue because it reflects the most light Violet is the lightest hue because it reflects the least light

White objects reflects all color waves and so you are seeing the color of light, which is white Black objects absorb all of the color waves and so you are seeing the absence of light, which is black
