Where in PA? By: Mrs. Mark and Mrs. Ellis’s fourth grade classes

 Movement Usually use cars and buses to travel We are in a recreational area. Mostly use Pocono Pony buses for public transportation

Regions  Near Bushkill Falls  Our school is located at N Latitude : W Longitude and is 3 miles from the center of our town.  White Heron Lake is near us.  Shawnee Mountain is the nearest ski mountain to us.  We are also near Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area.

Human-Environment Interaction  We have banks, a local state university, tourist attractions, stores, and a restaurant named Alaska Pete’s.  Due to an increase of population, more houses and a bypass are being built here.  Main transportation- car.  Recreation: snowboarding, skiing, golfing, hiking, hunting, sledding, and fishing.

Location  120 miles NE of state capital.  About 3 miles west of Shawnee Mountain (ski area).

Place  Average May Temp - 72ºF  Population - 10,411  Nearest State Park - Big Pocono State Park
