Background Only a minority of the world’s countries have their documents reclassified by the Trilateral offices: AP, AT, AU, CA, CH, DE, EP, FR, GB, JP, OA, US, WO

Background The rest of the world’s countries have to reclassify documents if they want to have complete classified collections!

The reclassification procedure Access and read XML working list Reclassify documents Collect classification data Generate XML result file Submit result file

The reclassification procedure For a small or medium-size office the administration of the reclassification takes much more time than the actual reclassification of the documents For a small or medium-size office it is difficult to justify development of reclassification software

In order to get something done you must make it easy to do it!

Software requirements Accessing and importing working lists Users select working lists by country? Working list access limited by user identities?

Software requirements Presenting the documents of the working list Select a subset of the documents Select an individual document Display the classification picture Mark classifications to be modified

Software requirements Accessing patent documents for consultation Links to or similar services? Links to office-specific software ”Offline” access, for example of paper documents
