Presentation transcript:

The Career Tools system is designed to support the Careers Adviser and its purpose is to:

Raise the profile of the Careers programme in our school community Provide the latest careers related information for students and parents

And to enhance the communication between the Careers Adviser, students and parents There are a number of parts to the Career Tools system that help us achieve this.

Senior School Information Vocational Education & Training SBAT’s UAC/VTAC/QTAC Gap Year Job Information Uni. Options TAFE Options Defence/Police Forces Youth Allowance Coping With Stress Apprenticeships & Traineeships … and much more …

Fully maintained and updated

There are also a series of communication tools - some work hand in hand with the website and some are stand alone.

Our own custom system….. # Specifically designed for communicating with students and parents # Completely personalised # Has an inbuilt document and newsletter distribution system

The Career Tools program is designed to support the delivery of the careers program and it aims to provide an extra service to both students and parents by:

Providing the most current and up to date information on careers related topics

Providing a range of communication systems to ensure that careers information and important messages can be delivered to all students and parents

And to ensure that students get the information they need, at the time they need it – and actually act on it

What we want to ensure is that no student (or parent) is ever in the position where they have to say: “I didn’t know” “I didn’t hear” “I must have missed it”
