2 Background of Joe Mahoney Grew up in Philadelphia, PA. One younger sister, Rose (BA University of Pennsylvania; MBA Accountancy); One younger brother, Jim (Ph.D. Finance, Wharton); Spouse, Prof. Jeanne Connell (Ph.D. Education, Illinois) BA in Economics in 1980, University of Pennsylvania; MA in business economics 1984 from Wharton School of Business of University of Pennsylvania; and Ph.D. in business economics in 1989 from Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania.

Worked for Project Link (Econometric forecasting linking international data bases) at the University of Pennsylvania. Consulting experience for government contacting, and for two Fortune 500 companies on vertical coordination. Participated in customized executive development programs for Archer-Daniels Midland (ADM), and State Farm.
