Presentation transcript:

The mass murder of Jews and members of many other ethnic, social, and political groups in continental Europe between 1940 and 1945 by the Nazi regime. Arbeit Macht Frei means work sets you free. This was put above every concentration camp, where they held everyone.

When the great depression hit he told everyone it was because of the Jews and many Germans believed him. This was giving him major power, he sent any anti- Nazi to concentration camps followed by Jews. The Nazi party was growing bigger and bigger each day. This became a war between everyone and the Nazi’s. On April 30th, 1945 Hitler shot himself in the head with his own pistol. He killed himself because he did not want to get caught and was losing the war, sooner or later he would have been caught. Hitler was born in Braunau am Inn, Austria on April 20 th,1889. He never finished high school because of his lack of talent. He applied for the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and got rejected. He read excessively and that led him to his anti- Jew beliefs. He joined the Nationalist German Workers' party. Then he started working full time and it changed to the Nationalist German Workers’ Nazi party and in 1920 was elected chairman. ….Not all Nazi’s chose to be in the alliance. People were forced and drafted into the Nazi’s alliance.

Hitler and the Nazi’s were after the Jews because they weren't believing the same religion as Hitler(Christianity). He was against people who weren't Aryans. Aryans were people with blonde hair blue eyes.
