The indicators 1.1 and 1.2 are YES or NO indicators SCOPE – Bilateral – Multilateral – Government and society LEVELS – National – Subregional – Local/city – Formal/informal TOPICS – Topical: NCDs, IHR, Tobacco, occupational and environmental health, transport, PROCESS; include health in already existing coordination mechanisms versus setting up new “HiAP” coordination mechanisms

There are various stages in this process; from entirely formal to totally informal. – Although it is Optimally a formal network, which can include …. – Allowing MS to develop over time 2.There need to be more specificity on the various levels of the coordination mechanism (Global, Regional, National, Sub-National, local, city and community). The level informs the facilitator and the mapping 3.YES-NO but… The indicator needs to allow for flexible approaches to occur in the countries

Final Conclusions from Group 1: 1. Win-win. Co-benefits. Health serves other agendas. Co-design/Partnership 2. Sustainability needs to be build in from the beginning (strategic planning versus political cycle or party planning) 3. Dedicated human and financial resources are required to implement the framework for country action 4. Recognizing and being ready for window of opportunity is key 5.
