How will you schedule FHS Honors Courses? 1 If you are currently enrolled in an honors course in a core subject you will be tentatively scheduled into a 9th grade honors course. 2 In late May/early June a review of the following student data will determine final placement into a 9 th grade honors course. Data points include: LEAP scores, Explore scores, and 8 th grade course grades. 3 In mid to late June, after a careful review of student data, letters will be mailed home that will inform student of final placement into honors courses. If a student does not receive placement, an appeals process will be available prior to the opening of the school year.

FHS Freshman Academy  The goal of Freshman Academy is to successfully transition 9 th grade students into self-sufficient high school students through a partnership with students, educators, administrators, and parents.  Topics include survivor skills, attendance policy and procedures, freshman faculty, JPAMS home link as well online tutorials.
