 Village Široké lies about 25 km west of the town moved to a main junction between Prešov and Poprad in the mountains of eastern Branisko. It has an area of square kilometers and population of 2340 inhabitants.

 Motocross beginnings in Široké range in the 50's, 20 century, when the boys tried to ride bikes on the ground. The most famous rider of this period was Katriňák Ladislav, Slovak champion. Other known rider was Jozef Drozda, a master in the Czechoslovak army clubs. The year was 2009 CROSS TEAM Široké.  The Sunday, 8/22/2010 will be held the International Championship of Slovak Republic in motocross racing motorcycle individuals.
