Downtown West Asheville, NC Graffiti, Gang related activities go unnoticed in a popular Downtown Community. We must help stop this. Get involved

A stream of the French Broad River in Asheville, NC has litter and debris floating downstream. The City is responsible for clean up however with budget cuts it’s impossible for workers to clean up every inch of the river and neighboring streams. Please help by calling CLEANUP

Unlawful Household Dumping Should homeowners be allowed to leave unwanted household items outside for more than 3 to 5 business days? The Homeowner or tenant is responsible to call the local refuse company. If unwanted items are visible for more than 5 business days, call CLEANUP

Homeowners are allowed to replace privacy fencing, but are not required to remove previous battered fencing. Is this acceptable?

The local refuse company will not pick up old abandoned tires and the cost to take them to a landfill ranges from $2 to $5 each What can you do to help? Report unlawful dumping immediately to: CLEANUP
