DELTAS-HASI Partnership Mapping Tool Who is involved in the decision to partner? What is Impetus for Partner A? What is current status?  Strategic planning?  Core services?  Funding streams/cycle? What is Impetus for Partner B? What is current status?  Strategic planning?  Core services?  Funding streams/cycle? Impetus for partnership dialogue A o Are those responsible for service-delivery at the table during planning conversations? o When is the right time to have detail-oriented dialogue to define the ‘ nitty-gritty’ of accountability (who, what, when, where, how)? o Is it clear what mission/vision conversations, communication forums, collaborative structures, content delivery methods are needed to successfully deliver services? o If some of the above are emergent, how and when will partners systematically and objectively revisit these conversations? C Implementing Service Delivery B

DELTAS-HASI Partnership Analysis Gaps Successes Content Delivery Coherence—Mission/Vision Communication & Collaborative Structures Pass 1 Pass 2 Pass 3

DELTAS-HASI Partnership Mapping Tool Revisiting partnership goals: Having courageous conversations to build on successes and address gaps D Successes 1. Coherence: Mission/Vision 2. Communication & Collaborative Structures 3. Content Delivery Gaps 1. Coherence: Mission/Vision 2. Communication & Collaborative Structures 3. Content Delivery E Reframing goals, action plans & assessments

Example—Coherence: Mission/Vision Indentified Gap DELTAS and HASI have differing organizational structures and scope of work How the above factors affect the pace and degree of implementation at sites were weighted differently by DELTAS and HASI Confusion and tension emerged about implementation expectations HASI Low Medium High Low Medium High DELTAS Need for clarifying conversation high on radar screen Need for clarifying conversation low on radar screen

Example—Communication & Collaborative Structures Identified Success Bi-monthly convening of HASI and DELTAS SmartTALK sites as a learning community seen as a strong implementation support by both organizations Build on success of collaborative learning forum 1. Implement a quarterly meeting for front line staff and direct supervisors (team approach) 2. Implement a new coaching forum that meets monthly for DELTAS Assistant Program Directors (APDs) and HASI Coaches

Example—Content Delivery Indentified Gap Lack of clarity about what fidelity to the SmartTALK model looks like. Question to be answered :What are the non-negotiables? Where can there be flexibility in implementation? HASI Low Medium High Low Medium High DELTAS Emphasis on flexibility: LowEmphasis on flexibility: High
