The Stewardship Council protects and enhances watershed lands and uses, and invests in efforts to improve the lives of young Californians through connections with the outdoors. Mission

Land Conservation –141,000 acres –22 counties 100% to be protected by easements or equivalent Approximately 50% of lands available for donation

Progress To Date Award winning planning documents – Volumes I and II of the Land Conservation Plan Transparent, inclusive planning process Master 851 Application approved by CPUC Successful collaboration among pilot project stakeholders Strong land conservation team in place

Pilot Project Sites

240-acre site located in Tuolumne County 2 proposals received from: –Collaborative group: Tuolumne County Resource Conservation District, Tuolumne County, and Mother Lode Land Trust –U.S. Forest Service, Stanislaus National Forest Kennedy Meadows

40-acre site located in Tulare County 1 proposal received from U.S. Forest Service, Sequoia National Forest Doyle Springs

Bucks Lake 2,000-acre site located in Plumas County 1 proposal received from collaborative group: –Plumas County –Enterprise Rancheria –Greenville Rancheria
