What is VIP? permanent communication tool between LBGs and international level solution for faster decisions in BEST = on-line voting system

VIP working group? people developing the VIP idea during its testing period main purpose = establish rules and procedures

Timeline PM 2007GA 2008GA 2009 Trial period and continuous evaluation by the VIP Working Group VIP => official Online voting system developed by ITC Proposed changes in the statutes PM 2008

Status at GA Tallinn 08 two proposals voted with the PA survey centre design of the voting system (together with ITC)‏ almost inactive working group

Progress ‏ ITC implemented the on-line voting system simple & multiple option proposals public & secret voting first test voting happened before PM

Progress first discussion (without proposal) takes place now WG is clarifying the changes in Statutes and IRE, needed in order to make VIP official WG is now active, putting a lot of effort into improving the procedures and IT system

First voting conclusions we need clear guidelines for speaker (handbook maybe?)‏ what is the best time allocation for the voting ? how to increase the number of LBGs that vote? what topics to handle in VIP?

Plans until GA more testing approval of the secret voting procedure, by LBGs prepare materials for LBGs Evaluate the concept => GA proposal, make VIP official
