1:1 L APTOP I NITIATIVE On May 20, 2010, the Board of Education approved by a 5-0 vote a one-to-one laptop initiative for all students and staff in grades 9-12 during the school year. Focus of the initiative involves three areas: 1) greater engagement of students in active, collaborative learning, 2) instruction at higher levels of learning, and 3) development of 21st century skills to prepare students for the workplace and further education.
