Students will gain….  an awareness of the catering industry and career opportunities  Knowledge of nutrition and the relationship between diet & health  Food Hygiene Certificate  An understanding of menu planning, Quality control & Catering legislation Heavily focussed on practical application  Practical every week!

2 Practical assessments (40% Final Grade)  1 in Year 10(20%)  1 in Year 11(20%) 1 Theory Exam (40% Final Grade)  In the summer of Y11 – Higher/foundation Work experience  1 week (min) Relating to the catering industry (Y10) What Is GSCE Catering?
