Program Development for Distribution: Add additional residence hall locations to engage more students in the Collegiate Readership Program. Continue the newspaper program during summer session to help students with their studies. Continue to work with student government to build their campus wide program. Readership Program Awareness & Marketing: Create a Readership Program Committee to generate ideas regarding how to better promote the availability of newspapers to the student body. Develop a comprehensive marketing plan to build awareness and increase readership on campus during the Spring semester and beyond. For example, we could conduct a “Get Caught Reading Promotion”. Academic Integration: Meet with the Provost and faculty senate to present USA TODAY Instructional Resources and discuss how to integrate newspapers into the classroom. Programming: Meet with RA’s and RD’s to follow up on the RA training completed in January of Gain examples of how The Collegiate Readership Program has been used in their residence halls.
