I can evaluate the effectiveness of structure and technique by applying this information in an essay. I can create a 3.5 essay. I can evaluate a 3.5 essay by using the peer scoring guide.

Bell Ringer Read the questions and all the answer options. Read the passage carefully. Answer questions on your bell ringer sheet AND explain why you chose that answer. Place this under the bell ringer section in your binder.

Consider the effects of the setting and the story’s title. Be sure to use evidence from the story to support your ideas. If you finish early, please read in your book. If you do not have a book, borrow one from me!
