The Weans’ Work

HGIOS 2 Learning and Teaching 3.3 Pupils’ learning experiences 4321 extent to which the learning environment stimulates and motivates pupils Are the pupils focused on the task in hand? pace of learning Was the task completed within the time allocated? personal responsibility for learning, independent thinking and active involvement in learning Do the pupils take responsibility for their own learning. Do the pupils reflect on ideas, issues and experiences? interaction with others Do the pupils work well together? Has every pupil been actively involved?

MIICE Outcome 2 Skills development 2 Creation and presentation of their own material 4321 Do learners use ICT efficiently to prepare and present their own material? Could the pupils make a one page report of their survey? Do learners pay due regard to the criteria for success set down for a project? Could they collect the info? Could they create the spreadsheet? Could they enter the info accurately? Could they make appropriate charts? Do learners show progress in their use of ICT tools to create presentations? Is there a noticeable improvement in pupil performance from the last lesson?

MIICE Outcome 2 Skills development 3 Collection and analysis of information 4321 Does the use of ICT help learners to derive relevant information from a mass of data? Can the pupils recognise trends in the information? Could they comment on their findings? Can the pupils draw conclusions from the data/charts?

In Conclusion… ICT has improved the overall learning experience of the pupils by:  Motivating  Encouraging collaborative learning  Quality of end product  Encouraging reflection on higher level issues
