Technology They built chariots instead of going directly on the horses back They had aqueducts to have a running water system.

Religion Before switching to Christianity they used the same gods as the Greeks with Roman names Before switching to Christianity they used Etruscan rituals

Government Anything that pleases the Emperor is a law They had a king in early Rome but the title later switched to Emperor

Social Structure They had slaves who were at the bottom of the social chart because they were not paid They had a king in early Rome but the title switched to Emporer

Written Language The Romans used the Etruscan alphabet The Romans wrote in all capital letters like the Greeks

The Arts They admired Greek pottery They decorated buildings the same way as the Greeks

Stable Food Supply They ate bread, beans, spices, vegetables, cheeses, and meats. The poor ate slumps of fish
