Trulli are some old constructions. They was similar to our modern house and facilities for the inhabitants. are old stone buildings dry, conical, originally protohistorical typical and unique in Puglia. in the areas of development of the trulli you come across archaeological finds of prehistoric times, or foundations of stone huts dating back to the Bronze Age. Trulli oldest of which there remains track today were built in the sixteenth century near to the plain Apulian Murgia. The Trulli of Alberobello have been declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO. People all over the world going to Puglia to visit this constructions and they have a lot of success.

The unit has a modular construction of the trullo plant approximately circular, on the perimeter of which is set to the dry wall thickness very high. This solution, on the one hand greatly narrows the interior, but on the other hand, joined to the almost total absence of openings with the exception of the front door, and, rarely, a small hole at the top with window to ensure a minimum of parts air inside, makes it a very interesting example "before its time" green building passive. The thickness of the walls, combined with the small number and size of the openings (often only the front door and up the small square window that acts as a vent to the very low cabinet created inside for hygienic requirements after World War II) ensures a ' high thermal inertia, which guarantees a good conservation of the heat inside during the winter and the coldest days, as well as in summer keeps cool the walls themselves have accumulated during the cold season and that will give up gradually until the second half of August

The Trullo could have a bed to sleep and keep the tools of the field inside. Cots of the children were placed in alcoves obtained in niches, generated by budding from the masonry of the trullo and separated from this by curtains. From the point of view of the use of interior space, the trullo was born with only one floor living, the ground (the only exception of a two- storey trullo is the so-called Sovereign Trullo, presumably built in the nineteenth century for the purpose of promoting Tourism). However, for a better use of the narrow spaces, as they were growing families often resorted to a step of one or more rooms in order to positioning the bedding for the children or left them in closets hidden to the eye of the casual visitors.
