 Approval of the Ministerial Order in line with the Functionality of the School General Assembly Committees/SGACs- PTCs by the Cabinet  What was the issue?  SGACs functionality was limited by the article 10 in the 2012 which state that:  An Order of the Minister in charge of Education shall set up general rules governing nursery, primary and secondary schools and determine modalities for the conduct of meetings of members of the School General Assembly, the School General Assembly Committee and those of the Audit Committee as well as modalities for their election, their term of office and decision-making procedures.

 Article 22: Term of Office for members of the School General Assembly – 2 years renewable only once  Article 24: Decision making of the School General Assembly: The decisions of the School General Assembly shall be taken by election and by absolute majority votes.

 The CIWG had and will continue to have its termly meeting and study visit.  The CIGW worked closely with REB (TDM) to develop competence based content ( SGACs)  CIWG members are working in different domains mainly: PTC training at school level, community workers and connectors at village level.

 Some members are fully involved in the mobilization of parents pre primary education.  The CIWG is going to put in place criteria of a best functioning PTC

 The new members should contact the chair or co-chair of the WG in order to receive a briefing about the WG functionality (orientation)  Engage NGOs with adult literacy intervention to be part of CIWG

 Vote for the new leaders of the working Group( Chair and Co-chair)  Continue WG activities meetings, study visits and the research on community perceptions  Study visit will be conducted to CLUB PESCT activities in Nyamirambo /September.
