Information Lloyd Hall was born in Elgin, Illinois. He was born on June 20, He was a pioneer in the food preservation industry. He died on January 2, He graduated from high-school as an honor student at East Side High School in Aurora, Illinois. His career in chemistry began as a chemist at the Chicago and the University of Illinois.

J OBS. In 1919 he joined the John Morrell meat- packing company as the chief chemist. The work at the meat packers led Hall toward his lifelong interest in food preservation. Lloyd Hall was hired over the phone by a prejudice white man so when Hall entered the company the next day he was immediately told to leave. John Morrell meat- packing. Western Electric Company
