Lecture 1N. Kandasamy1/14/2008 COURSE OBJECTIVES  We will focus on current state-of-the-art approaches to designing dependable computing systems as well as the quantitative evaluation of the notion of dependability  The course assumes familiarity with basic probability theory and computer architecture  The topics will be derived from lecture notes and a variety of research papers in topics related to dependable systems
