Types of Relationships

Line of Best Fit A line of best fit is a straight line that best represents the data on a scatter plot. This line may pass through some of the points, none of the points, or all of the points Splits half the points on one side and the other half on the other side.

No Relationship Can split the points from more than one angle. Example: Length of the lifeline hand and your grade point average. If I know your GPA, I don't have any idea how long your lifeline is. Can’t Draw a Line of Best Fit
