SIMILE Use after the Figurative Language Power Point Slide

Examples: I think my grandpa is as old as the hills. The twins were as good as gold for Grandma so she spoiled them. The puzzle was as easy as pie, so it only took us two minutes to finish.

Examples: The new teacher was as sweet as apple pie on the first day of school. At the checkup, the doctor said Sam was as healthy as a horse. Uncle Bob is as jolly as Santa.

Examples: Your hands feel as icy as a snowman. When Sal did well on the test, he was as happy as a clown. That dancer is as light as a jockey.

Examples: Lila was so scared being alone that she turned as white as a sheet when she heard the noise. Dad fixed the broken toy so now it was as good as new. The table looked as a big as a bus to the baby.

Examples: The street was as quiet as a classroom on Saturday after the storm was over. The rain left our yard as muddy as a marsh. The stranger's face is as eerie as a ghost.

Examples: Donald doesn't seem very smart, but he's as sharp as a tack. The water on the pond was as clear as glass. At the picnic, Dad was as hungry as a bear so he ate and ate and ate.
