Homework: Reading: Ideally spend minutes each day hearing your child read. Please record this in their reading records. Reading records will be checked on a Friday. Homework will normally be given out on a Thursday, to be returned on a Monday. Please sign parent sheet and ensure you are happy with your child's effort. The homework should take up to 45 minutes with extra time for reading and spelling practice. Spelling books Times table cards Any problems with homework should be addressed on a Friday OR children can us via DB Primary if they need support. Communication We are the first port of call - most issues can be sorted out this way. We are usually available after school for a quick message, or make an appointment if you need a longer chat. Mornings are always very busy. If a message is urgent, please send message via the office or by note. Feel free to us via DB Primary. Letters do come home - please check bags! If you have a general comment please feel free to use the reading record books to convey queries.

When you ask your child, 'What have you done today?' and they reply 'Nothing.' or ' I can't remember; it was boring.' Please don't believe this is the case. Your child is probably tired and assimilating all the new learning opportunities they have had. We provide them with a busy, stimulating learning experience every day and sometimes its just one step to far to have to discuss is all!
