Set Goals Follow Through and Follow Up

CLARITY Dr. Brenda Friday, Director of University Relations Clearly Visualize Your Role As A Successful Warrior.

 The purpose toward which an endeavor is directed.  ( thefreedictionary.com)  Follows S.M.A.R.T. Principle: Specific Measurable Attainable Realistic Timed (topachievement.com/smart)

Personal Goals What is important to YOU. Academic Goals What will make you successful in class. Semester Goals What will move you to the next level of achievement? Long-Term Goals I want to graduate in 4 years, I want to have a 4.0 GPA, I want to take on a leadership role at ESU (co-curricular transcript), I want to get an internship, study abroad.

Start small and be realistic objectives per goal. Don’t set too many goals. Decide what’s best for YOU. Be sure your goals match what’s happening in your life. Be realistic and positive. Challenge yourself and EMBRACE each task. Write them down and affirm them. Recognize that your goals may not be the same as your roommate’s or friend’s. Ask for help. Check on your progress. If you don’t meet a goal, set another – try again! When you meet a goal, reward yourself!
