 We are a non-profit making organisation  aiming to help Congolese asylum seekers & refugees and migrants living in Gateshead area  integrate successfully into their new  lives in the North East. We provide advice  and signposting as well as cultural events and activities.  We welcome new comers from Congolese origin in Gateshead

 To work for the benefit of people of the Congolese Solidarity Association and other minority African groups in Gateshead, by providing such persons with advice, information, and signposting etc.  To advance the education in language, literacy and other ways as the committee may from time to time to decide  We are running health promotion projects, we are doing interpreting and translation. We will publish a newsletter service, escort to offices, as well as leisure and cultural activities.

 Our previous and current activities include: Educational trips and events Football tournaments African cultural exhibition Fashion exhibitions Annual cultural events celebration Theatre and drama Working with other groups to influence policy and practice Advice and signposting, for example in securing childcare, education, training and employment opportunities.
