Craft Skills What is Craft Skills? In Curriculum for Excellence Craft Skills is the subject that used to be known as PRACTICAL CRAFT SKILLS.

Craft Skills Craft skills is a woodworking course. Pupils will develop practical skills in woodworking. Developing safe working practices in a workshop environment will be essential. Pupils will create a range of projects using the woodworking skills learned. Pupils will learn to use working drawings to make woodworking joints and to manufacture projects.

Craft Skills What skills will I learn? You will learn how to measure and mark out accurately. You will learn how to identify and use woodworking tools correctly and safely. You will learn how to use some woodworking machinery safely and correctly. You will learn how to prepare wood for a finishing process. You will learn how to apply a finish to wood.

Craft Skills Projects The projects shown above are from the range of projects available at Intermediate 1 and Intermediate 2.
