We all have come a long way since the last South- and Southeast Asia partners meeting in Bali, Indonesia, October 2010 You may have looked at all the documents prepared and shared before coming here And there are new one’s to come which need high attention Let us be open to provide information and discuss – and decide

You have been receiving information from dvv international on: Phasing out in 2011 in India, Indonesia and the Philippines Reducing the full three year cycle Cuts in the budgets for the second and third year All winding-up within the last year

Real adjustments need to be made Review of project development against the plans for 2010 Planning for 2010 and 2011 according to the reduced budgets Possible evaluation and achievement studies Options for future cooperation and partners

Suggested selection of countries for the evaluation of AGS organisations and partners Chile Mexico India Indonesia Vietnam Guinea South Africa Uganda dvv international is working in all the countries – but in Vietnam dvv international partners evaluation only in India – AWO, DGRV, BORDA

Aim of the evaluation -Independent assessment of the instrument social structural support -Organisations with special expertise and experiences in Germany and networks internationally -Effectivity and efficiency of the planning and implementation procedures -Special attention towards training and re-training, capacity building, knowledge management and consultation processes

Two levels of comparision: -Against other NGOs in Germany doing similar work, but funded differently -Against other funding organisations in Europe and their instruments Steps and activities: -Online questionnaires (Oct/Nov) -Pilot case study in (Nov/Dec) -Seven case studies on country level (Jan/March) -Final report (end June 2011)

What are other on-going or planned or possible evaluations? By Indonesian partners? Or by their funders? Or by dvv international? Any cross-cutting thematic concern? Women / gender work? Regional … ?
