6/14/2011 The kit fox is a small fox. It has a gray coat with a brown tone and it has dark patches around its nose. It also has white legs and big ears. It measures 15 to 21 inches long. It weighs from 3.5 to 6 pounds.

6/14/2011 The kit fox lives in the western part of the United States and north central Mexico. It can be found in grasslands, valleys, woodlands and deserts.

6/14/2011 The kit fox eats kangaroo rats, cotton tail rabbits, black- tailed jack rabbits, prairie dogs, insects, lizards, snakes and fish. They are nocturnal and search for food at night.
