© 2006 Open Grid Forum 5 NSI-WG: open issues 1.What information is included in a confirm message? 2.What information is included in a fail message – in particular should details of each of the child failures be included in response. Optional? Format? 3.Handling authorization failures of children – how should the failure information be reported upstream? 4.Agreement is needed on NSA id format

© 2006 Open Grid Forum 6 5.Queries – what does the response include? Current document states: reservations details for a connection state of a connection List of current reservations associate with requester 6.Id structures – Current WSDL states: globalReservationId (UUID), connection id (UUID), transaction id (UUID). 7.Should the globalReservationId be mandatory? Who generates this? RA or ‘user’? How is this made globally unique. Proposal: If PerfSonar enabled then globalReservationId becomes mandatory, otherwise optional NSI-WG: open issues

© 2006 Open Grid Forum 7 8.Terminology: releaseProvision or release?, terminateReservation or terminate? 9.Need to document how blank startTime and blank endTime should be interpreted. 10.STP format 11.How long should the state machine retain connection information in the terminate state? – define lifetime of logs NSI-WG: open issues

© 2006 Open Grid Forum 8 12.Message sequence rules – for example can a provision be sent before a reservation confirmation is received? – no. But a terminate can be sent before the reservation confirmation is received. 13.Transaction ids, are these needed? 14.Is pathObject needed? 15.Reservation persistency? NSI-WG: open issues
