Thursday, November 7 th Warm-up Open your books to Pg. 347 and read the Faces of History box and answer the following questions in complete sentences. –What is one office Davis held that would prepare him to be President of the Confederacy? –What happened to him after the war?

Turn to pages 9 & 10 in your booklet. It should already be labeled North at the top and South at the bottom. Now add a square in the middle to write notes about “effects on civilians” north effects on civilians south looks something like this

Almost despite themselves, some white Americans found themselves fighting and dying for the freedom of human beings whom they (the whites) openly regarded as inferior.
