A great ending In the beginning I never knew what to expect or how much it would change me. But now looking back on it. It changed me so much !
The presentation During our time in community time we had to complete multiple assignments. Which is what the purpose of this presentation. The assignments I am going to present is Flowers for Algernon (Book we read), my I- movie on homelessness, my outside experience and my volunteer experience in community service.

Flowers for Algernon What did I learn about development disabilities ? People with special needs or any other disability are still human being.People with special needs or any other disability are still human being. Technology: I-movie on Cause of homelessness In the classroom we did and I-movie on the cause of homelessness. What was the purpose of the assignment ? Continued What did I learn by completing this assignment? I learned that the stereo types I was hearing as I was growing up was not accurate. Continued Evaluate what this assignment shows about you as a student in community service ? It made me a more understand and less judgmental as a human being. My outside experience Not only did we do things in this class, we also participated in things outside the classroom. I volunteered at the Buddy Walk in September 2012, this is a organization helping individuals with Down Syndrome. My duty was to cheer and support the walkers as they was coming to the finish line.

Continued What did you learn about the group of people you worked with? I learned that Down Syndrome is a more common disability then I thought, but I also learned they are happy individuals. Continued While volunteering what challenged you, and what did you learn from it? While volunteering at the Buddy Walk, the challenge was trying to get through the day without crying. Volunteer Experience While in this class we volunteered once a week at an organization, I volunteered at Bobbie B. Fairfax. This is a school for elementary- high school students to attend who have special needs.

Continued What challenged you ? What challenged me was seeing young children in the position they were in.
