Many people think that Benjamin Franklin discovered electricity, but actually many other scientists assisted him. A scientist named Alessandro Volta discovered the certain, “chemical reactions,” which could produce electricity. He created the electric battery, the first device to produce an electric current. He also invented the first transmission of electricity of electricity by linking positively-charged and negatively-charged connectors and driving an electrical charge, or voltage, through them. It wasn’t until 1831, when Michael Faraday created the electric dynamo which opened the new door of electricity. Then in 1879, Thomas Edison invented the light bulb.

Electricity’s role in the future will have an important impact on how well it changes. Hopefully, in the future, this energy source will become more clean then it already has present- day. It will have a role in 3 things, the electric car, light rail trams, and wireless or cordless, wires. It will help the electric car by being the recharging source, and the tram, with its high speed. As for the cordless, scientists are making suggestion and theories, but nothing on that yet. In the future, it will hopeful y become a more popular and widely used energy source.

Electricity is neither a nonrenewable, or a renewable resource. No one knows why it is nonrenewable or renewable, but I think that it isn’t because it is potential energy. It needs to travel through wires and many electrical things, but cannot be renewable. Unless you, ‘recycle,’ the wires.

Electricity is used in every one of our lives, each day. We use it when we wake up to turn on the lights, or to watch television, and even in those tiny little batteries you use in a remote. It is used in almost anything electrical in life, like power plants, transformers, televisions, computers, and about everything electrical.

An electric generator is a device for converting mechanical energy into electrical energy. The process is based on the relationship between magnetism and electricity. When a wire (or any other electric or metal material) moves across a magnetic field, an electric current occurs in the wire. The large generators used by the electric utility industry have a stationary conductor. A magnet attached to the end of a circulating shaft is positioned inside a stationary conducting ring, that is wrapped with a long, piece of wire. When the magnet rotates, it induces a small electric current in each section of wire as it passes. Each section of wire constitutes a small, separate electric conductor. All the small currents of individual sections add up to one current of considerable size. This current is what is used for electric power.

There is a huge advantage towards having electricity. I mean without electricity, we wouldn’t have a lot of stuff. It heats our home during winter when it is freezing, it cools us down when it is scorching hot, it lets us make food, and helps us live life. So, that is a huge advantage to electricity, is the way it gives us power. There is also a disadvantage towards electricity, the way it injures innocent people. Whether it is low-voltage or high- voltage, it can seriously injure people, and even kill. So that is a huge disadvantage towards electricity.

There are a lot of environmental impacts from the power plants that create electricity. Electricity is made by primary sources, such as coal, petroleum, natural gas, nuclear, and solar power. When that happens, gases are emitted into the air, ventilating into the sky. Crating greenhouse gases. One way to stop this, my opinion, is to start using cleaner resources, such as solar power and especially wind power. If this were to happen, electricity would become a very clean energy resource.

The electricity produced by a generator travels along cables to a transformer, which changes electricity from low voltage to high voltage. Transmission lines are used to carry the electricity to a substation. Substations have transformers that change the high voltage electricity into lower voltage electricity. From the substation, distribution lines carry the electricity to homes, offices and factories, which require low voltage electricity. Transporting Electricity

 Smaller quantities are made by wind, solar panels, sea tides etc.  Electric energy is easily transportable by integrated electric grids.
