CATHOLIC HIV/AIDS SERVICES INC Sr. Arnolda Kavanamur, SSpS HCT/Training Program Officer

Response of the Catholic Church to HIV/AIDS in PNG Thank you to Katherine and the team for inviting me to attend to important symposium. I’ve worked in the field of HIV for five years in both an implementation and co-ordination capacity at the local and national level. Over that time I have worked with people who have been involved in the HIV response from the beginning in PNG. I believe many of you would know people like Sr. Rose Bernard, Sr. Gaudentia and Sr. Taricisia. I would like to share with you my experience of working with discordant couples over that time. The Bishops believed that a dedicated Commission responsible for the co-ordination and management of HIV activities within the Catholic network was of great of great important.
