Is it Wrong to Judge Others ? “Judge not, that ye be not judged.” Matt. 7:1 Can we never judge others? Should we not discuss the Bible? Can we ever practice discipline?

I.Judgment is Delegated by God New Testament Rom. 13:1-3 = Civil matters 1 Cor.5: Christian matters Judgment Day Christ - II Tim. 4:1

II. Judgment is According to a Standard O.T. Judges had a Principle: “You shall do no injustice in judgment. You shall not be partial to the poor, nor honor the person of the mighty. In righteousness you shall judge your neighbor.” Lev.19:15 NKJV

II. Judgment is According to a Standard Christians have a Standard: “Judge righteous judgment” John 7:24 Mt.7:1 - condemns unrighteous, hypocritical judgment Can’t judge others idea Self-contradictory

III.Judgment is Necessary in the Church God wants us to live in unity Requires judgments Warned about False teachers: 2 Pet.2:1, Gal. 1:7, 1 Jn. 4:1 Judgments must be made

IV. Dangerous Attitude toward Judging Some are saying: “How can we know who will be saved?” “How does anyone know that God won’t save the unbaptized?” “Who are we to say that Instrumental music is wrong?”

IV. Dangerous Attitude toward Judging How can we know who will be saved? Unbeliever cannot - Heb.11:6 Jn.8:24 Baptism is way into Christ - Gal.3:27 Instrumental music ? No additions - Rev. 22:18-19 No authority in N.T.

V. Not Judging is more like the Devil Some think that not judging others makes them more Christ-like! Devil used this way: Matt. 4:1-11 = Ps.91:11 Deut.6:16

Is it Wrong to Judge Others ? NO ! Christians are commanded to judge Judge with Love Judge righteously
