A Week to Protect the Weak Alternative Policies By J.P., Eliana, Eva, Ben and Danny
Summary Main Points Four policies being proposed. Anti Bullying/ Pro-Friendship Week in which students will participate. Volunteer Hall Monitor System to help catch bullying/bullies in the act. Changing Report System to make it easier and more confidential to report a bullying case/bully. Peer Jury to allow kids to see the severity of bullying.

Interviews Dr. Olsen, Principal-Elm Place Middle School Mr.Swanson, Principal-Highland Park High School Mr. Neiberg, Student Services Representative- Waukegan High School Ms. Ferrari, Principal-Northwood Middle School We found that, when asked, the majority of the people we interviewed said that it was essential to fix the reporting system and make it better. “I think now if students aren’t able to feel comfortable to report a problem, that’s definitely a problem.” ~Dr.Olsen, Principal-Elm Place Middle School
